Courage does not always manifest itself in heroic acts of great magnitude.
Courage means having enough self-respect to be able to say no, rather than giving in to demands that don’t suit us.
It means being willing to acknowledge reality even when it hurts.
It is to get over the hard times, again and again, because nothing can destroy us without our consent.
It’s about being vulnerable when masks would be so easy to put back on to protect us.
It’s about moving forward in a vacuum, even with fear in our stomachs, because we know there will always be support, support somewhere, even if we think we are alone.
Courage always goes hand in hand with fear, because one doesn’t exist without the other.
Courage means accepting to be imperfect and loving yourself anyway, because courage is one of the greatest proofs of love for oneself.
