What an incredible text brought to us by Pierre Pradervand regarding Forgiveness. Olalalalalaaaaa… gratitude, gratitude, gratitude.

When I was told on May 8, 1985 that my two children and their father had died in the fire in our house, I was far from imagining the long journey of initiation that awaited me behind this ordeal. How can I survive the suicide of the man I had loved deeply and who, in a surge of despair and madness, had taken our children with him into death? How can we forgive this gesture? Who could have claimed to have an answer to that question? I was an atheist, and I lived in a Cartesian environment. So no religion to cling to, no psychiatrist who empathizes with the violence of my suffering: just the loneliness of pain, and the inner defences that are collapsing, the helpless ego that is fragmenting. A symbolic death…
And it was precisely this pain and the loss of reference as well as the unconditional love I had for my children that was my salvation.
Survive so haven’t died for nothing! Take advantage of the fact that the ego has lowered its weapons to open other inner doors. Plunge into mourning, step by step, without any drug support that obscures consciousness, accepting the hands that are stretched out and make me discover new ways, other ways of thinking, living, acting…!! Touching the essential and diving into the infinite resources of the inner journey, because there is no other way to heal! Lifting the veils of oblivion and of the ” who am I? ”
And then, seven years later, that ultimate moment, out of time, in India, in Benares, alone, in front of the crematoria that awaken this terrible night where the flames have devoured those I love ones more… Suddenly a veil is torn, a moment of eternity. The bodies I see are only “carcasses” empty of their very essence, of their soul. In a few seconds, I understand everything. My children, their father were the catalysts of my inner awakening! The miracle of grace that descends into my heart. The living faith without dogma or belonging. A spiritual awakening.
I am living the very essence of the word FORGIVENESS: Forgiving means to discover the gift which is hidden behind the challenge. It means taking responsibility for what is happening to us and not trying to blame anyone. If there are no more guilty people, who should we forgive? To forgive is to thank yourself and the other. Forgiveness is about getting out of duality and discovering that we are one with our co-creators.
The ultimate Forgiveness will be played on May 8, 2010: 25 years later, during a ritual that I organize in homage and in memory of my children and their father… In front of their portrait, I testify to each of these loved ones, all the love I feel for them, starting with my children. When I find myself faced with the portrait of this man with whom I have known the best as well as the worst, I remain silent, as if petrified. I look into his eyes and suddenly I understand in an emotion shared by the assembly, that there is neither guilty nor victim, just soul contracts that we have accepted. Tons of tears come out of my heart and turn into gratitude. It’s like I remember that contract I had made.
It is at this moment that a man in the room says to us “I have a message from Robert” he says “finally you understand!! you remember: THANK YOU” so I have this vision of his face becoming bright and the children behind him who smile and say “we have come to help you along your spiritual path, as agreed. »
This is the ultimate GIFT. The true FORGIVENESS. What to add if not GRATITUDE.
