The peaceful protestors of Standing Rock won, with peace in their fists, love in their hearts, truth in their words.
Never before so many native tribes joined forces to fight for Earth protection, Water protection and for this Sacred Earth. “We don’t own this land, this land owns us”, say the native american chiefs. The peaceful protectors had to endure violent actions against them on the site of the Dakota Access Pipeline, and they stayed peaceful holding their prayers high the all time. They stood up for Standing Rock for months and many americans and people form all over the world joined them: army veterans asked for forgiveness, actors and musicians joined the cause and stood up, many initiatives were born. These last months were an intense process of healing and transforming and today peace is winning, love is winning, mother earth is winning. History changed today. People won, hearts won. The Dakota Access Pipeline, that would have passed through Standing Rock Sioux sacred land and polluted the precious water of Missouri River, will not be built. It’s time to stop destroying the Water, the Earth, the People.
“According to MSNBC, the Secretary of the Army Corps of Engineers has informed the Standing Rock Sioux that the current route for the Dakota Access Pipeline will be denied. Therefore, it will now not run near the Missouri River reservation that has led to protesters encamping near the construction site and be re-routed.”
“Today around 3,000 veterans prayed at the barricade on HWY 1806 to ask Dakota Access to completely end the pipeline project. ” Max Ribner
“When this proposed pipeline breaks, as the vast majority of pipelines do, over half of the drinking water in South Dakota will be affected… It must be stopped.” – Joye Braun (Cheyenne River)
