Imagine
That in front of your eyes, as many humans as diversities are united under one sky.
That the attention of the whole world is turned towards you for a short period of time.
That during this time, you are able to shout a single word. A word you always wanted to shout into the world.
That this word is written on your forehead and that we capture your portrait.
That this portrait with your personal message goes around the world and gives a little hope to the humans living on our little planet. Because we all know how much we need hope in order to move forward, now more than ever.
Now Imagine again
Palestine and Israel, and their conflict that has lasted for 69 years.
That despite the conflict that has lasted in Israel and Palestine for more than 69 years, and all the rivalries that oppose them, there are people who want to live together in peace.
That although a wall has been erected over 700 km to separate them in these regions, they want to see the wall disappear.

These people really exist.
I have contacted them, and they are eager to pose for the photo project “One Word”, in order to shout into the world in a strong and united voice, that they desire peace, more than anything.
These people want to pose side by side, to shout into the world in a strong and united voice. that they desire to live in freedom together, more than anything else in the world.
These people want to sit side by side, putting on their foreheads their words in Arabic for the Israelis and in Hebrew for the Palestinians, and thus adopting the writing of the other, they want to shout out into the world with a strong and united voice, that they have learned to live together, despite their differences.

I will travel to Palestine and Israel September 24th to October 1st, 2017.
I will take photos of these people and their messages.
I will paste their pictures at the place that was built to separate them: the Gaza wall.
I will stick on a construction of separation their photographs and messages of reunification.

You can symbolically lend me your name, which we will be put on a poster and sticked alongside these photographs on the wall of Gaza.
You can participate with a small sum of CHF 10.- per name you wish to see inscribed on this poster, and thus support our action.
You can do this by making other people join you on this poster, and the more names will be given, the higher are the chances that we print posters in numbers, that will be sticked on the wall and in different cities of Palestine and Israel.
