Waves and farm animals do not mix well

Growls are rising from all over the agricultural environment against the effects of electromagnetic waves and fields on livestock. This week, French farmers brought legal action against electricity carriers and telephone operators following the death of their animals. “We will render visible what has been made to look invisible. »

These French dairy, beef, pork and poultry farmers have observed significant mortality and abnormal behaviour in their flocks after the installation of base stations, high-voltage lines, wind turbines near their farms, and even that of a milking robot. For more information: https://actu.fr

In Switzerland too, the Swiss Farmers’ Union (USP) has been working for years to ensure that animals are also taken into consideration in the Confederation’s discussions on protection against non-ionising radiation and regrets that this is still not the case. The USP has recently positioned itself in favour of the precautionary principle with regard to 5G technology.

“5G mobile phone antennas

Non-ionizing radiation includes electromagnetic fields from power lines (high-voltage lines, catenaries, transformers, induction, etc.), as well as high-frequency radiation from mobile phones and radiocommunication. The waves emitted by the new 5G mobile phone antennas have very short wavelengths and are therefore considered high frequency microwaves. Unlike longer wavelength waves, 5G waves are hindered by walls, glass, rain and trees. The installation of many emission installations is therefore necessary. Swisscom expects an additional 15,000 antennas. The Swiss Farmers’ Union (USP) calls for caution in the development of 5G mobile phone networks. Attention must be paid to the health not only of humans but also of animals, both of which must be effectively protected from the negative effects of non-ionizing radiation. None of the provisions of the current ordinance on protection against non-ionising radiation mention animals, although the USP had requested at the time that they should also be taken into account. A federal working group is currently studying a relaxation of the current protection by increasing the limit values. In view of the state of knowledge, the USP opposes any form of flexibility.”

Considering the effect of radiation on mammals of this size and the great concern it causes farmers, imagine the effects of these waves on us humans? And what about our children?
